Step Two: Decide between Poster or Video
Take a look at the following examples of campaign videos and posters and decide which you will make.
*Remember, these examples were NOT made with our requirements in mind, so don't just model your project after these. You will need to look carefully over the rubric provided below to make sure you get full credit.
Video examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT9--zcrU0w&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsqmXhjWR74

Poster examples:
http://eandrews1708.edu.glogster.com/ceaser-campaign-poster/ (notice how this one recorded lines from the play that helped support their points... that's a great idea you could use)

(This one has good polish and overall appeal)

Step Three: Gather Your Information
Using the following links, in addition to your text and class notes, compile the following information for your candidate. All of these things will need to be included in your video or poster.
1. A Campaign Slogan
See examples of actual presidential campaign slogans here: http://www.presidentsusa.net/campaignslogans.html
Make sure you come up with your own ORIGINAL slogan that fits your candidate.
2. At least TWO specific actions from the play that show your character would be a good leader (include act, scene, and line number)
3. At least one quote spoken BY your character that illustrates his leadership (include act, scene, and line number)
4. At least one quote spoken ABOUT your character (by someone else in the play) that illustrates his leadership. (include act, scene, and line number)
5. At least one statement about how one of the OTHER candidates is NOT fit for the job (be sure to use a specific example or quote from the text, using act, scene, and line number)
HOW you include these five elements is up to you, just make sure they each make it into your campaign poster or video.

Step Four: Create Your Campaign Poster or Video
If you decide to create a poster, use this website: http://www.glogster.com/ and email me a link.
If you create a video, you must upload it to YouTube at home and email me a link.
Be sure you include all the required information (See step 3).
Remember, you will be graded on the quality of the information included, the creativity of your project, the persuasiveness of the poster/video, and the overall polish of the final product. (See rubric below)
You will present your projects to the class. Be sure there is nothing inappropriate in your project. If there is, be prepared to lose major points.
Evaluation: Here's how you'll be graded
PLEASE look over this rubric and see where you will earn/lose points on your project. Seriously. You're going to be really sad if you don't look at this rubric until after you've finished your project.
